Transformers: Battlegrounds will consume an energon cube and roll out to the PlayStation 4 from 23rd October, a new trailer has revealed. The tactical title – which seems heavily inspired by the likes of XCOM and Advance Wars – will see you battling it out with dastardly Decepticons in turn-based skirmishes.
There’ll be both a retail release and a Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes the full game, four Autobot skin packs, and an exclusive arcade game mode named CUBE. “It’s Autobots vs Decepticons as each team battles it out, using their unique special abilities to keep control of the CUBE across four unique arenas,” the press release reads.
Pre-orders will launch on the PlayStation Store from 2nd October, with a 10 per cent discount to the Digital Deluxe Edition and two additional exclusive skins: Nemesis Prime and Goldfire Bumblebee. You can check out a new trailer above, which also showcases the returning voice talent from the Cyberverse TV series.
